BANANA BOAT: A collective of Pasifika writers

BANANA BOAT: A collective of Pasifika writers – Auckland Central

On the fourth Thursday of every month, a group of writers come together in an arty Grey Lynn studio space to listen and quiz theatre practitioners, have truly awful instant coffee, and read each others’ scripts.

They’ve been doing it since August 2008, under the benevolent guidance of Playmarket’s Jenni Heka and the Guild’s D F Mamea.

The group is open to any and all who write or want to write. You don’t have to be Pasifika to attend but it might help with some of the more colourful jokes.
